The “Railway Worker Dynasties” project came about as a response to the lack of a coordinated system for keeping records on and supporting railroad dynasties, as well as to the declining importance of the concept of “labour dynasties” and the image of rail transport professions in modern conditions.

The following results were achieved thanks to the implementation of the “Railway Worker Dynasties” project: It has ensured generational continuity and contributed to the development of the institution of the family: - The Unified Register includes 1212 dynasties and 8261 members of dynasties. - The winner of the award for the “Oldest Dynasty” went to a family that started working at the company on the date it was founded – January 1, 1872. - The winner of the award for “Generational Continuity” was won by a dynasty that has a cumulative length of service in the company of 1072 years. - The “Historical Dynasty” boasted 37 members who had worked for the company.
