MPC-EL is designed to automate the processes of control and management of railway signalling facilities to ensure the established requirements for train safety and a given capacity, increase the level of integration with related automated systems and devices of railway signalling, automate diagnostic functions, as well as improve the culture level of operation and maintenance of devices.

Computer-based railway interlocking of switches and signals MPC-EL was put into trial operation at the Pantelevo station of the Northern Railway, a branch of Russian Railways OJSC in December 2022.
Computer-based interlocking system MPC-EL is the next stage in the development of such systems. Its development took into account the import substitution of components. As part of the hardware and software signalling management systems, the number of imported components is minimized. At the same time, all the requirements for functionality, reliability and safety are met. The full production cycle of the new unique system has been mastered at the Losinoostrovsky Electrotechnical Plant, a branch of ELTEZA JSC.
