Regular river electric transport
In the 1990s, regular river transport stopped operating in Moscow. The Moscow River has ceased to be navigable for urban transportation. After taking up the position of Moscow Mayor by Sergei Sobyanin, the Moscow River began to transform. In 2018, analytical work was carried out and future river transport routes were identified. In 2023, regular river electric vessels were launched. Their key feature is the complete absence of emissions. Due to the ice class "Ice 20", they can function even in winter. The entire infrastructure for transport is completely eco-friendly. Some berths can charge the vessel while mooring. This is a unique technology that has no analogues in the world.

Technologies for the healthy environment
In 2018, analytical work was carried out and several routes of the future regular river electric transport were identified. In 2021, the CCU “Transportation Organizer” signed an agreement with the contractor for 15 years. On June 20, 2023, the first route of electric boats "Kiyevsky – Heart of the Capital" was launched and, then, on September 29, the second route "ZIL – Pechatniki". In June 2024, the first route was extended to the "Fili Park" berth and received a new name: "Kiyevsky – Fili Park". By 2030, it is planned to launch 5 more routes, the total number of electric vessels will be 60 units. URL: https://disk.yandex.ru/d/rygi3C-6ycW8yw

Electric boats have a number of competitive advantages in comparison with diesel ships and other types of urban transport. Depending on the scenario, the travel time savings reach up to 3 times. One electric vessel prevents the release of 45 kg of pollutants into the water and 2 tons of CO2 into the air. Regular river electric transport allows quick access from one waterfront of the city to the other. The economic feasibility of electric boats primarily lies in reducing expenses on fuel. Maintenance of electric transport is also cheaper than vessels with internal combustion engines. Also, the emergence of river electric transport has created about 350 new jobs.
