UAVProf Drone Simulator

Problem and implemented solution

Problem: Simulators have been essential for professional training since the 50s of the XX century. They help form professional skills in an artificial environment. The widespread use of multimedia technologies has made simulators more accessible. The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is growing, and the market is actively testing UAV application cases. The volume of market segments where UAVs are used is large, and the need for regulatory regulation and digital online training and certification is evident.Currently, more than 100 thousand UAVs are registered in Russia, and the number of new registered UAVs is expected to be 1,000 per year. At least 15% of UAV operators will be able to undergo online training and certification annually. By 2028, the number of operators who completed online training and certification will reach 9,125, or 21% of the market. However, currently available simulators on the market are not specifically designed for industry training. They focus on improving piloting skills rather than simulating professional reality. Therefore, there is a need for professional tools that meet the requirements for training highly qualified specialists. Solution: The professional engineering simulator is designed to train controlling unmanned aerial vehicles in various fields, including aviation and agriculture. It is versatile and suitable for teaching children, students, and professionals. Training on the simulator optimizes costs, reduces training time, and improves emergency response skills. The simulator can be used for qualification assessments and supports complex tasks such as search and rescue, environmental monitoring, and delivery. Artificial intelligence can automate drone control, enabling drones to exchange information and coordinate their actions. Widespread use of the simulator promotes entry into the UAS industry, increases interest among young people, stimulates research and development, and accelerates the adoption of drones in enterprises, stimulating regional and national economies.

Estimated duration of implementation

The project is at the stage of sales and scaling, it has already passed all the stages of development, creation and introduction to the market. The full implementation period of the project is 4 years. At the moment, regular updates are appearing in UAVProf Drone Simulator, which affect the internal content. For example, the emergence of new UAV models, the improvement of existing and the emergence of new maps, weather conditions and emergency situations. Each update is based on the current state of the industry, the demands of the market, its players and consumers.

Implementation geography

The Russian Federation. Especially Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Tyumen Region, Krasnodar Territory, Stavropol Territory. Now the team is focused on entering the foreign market, in particular, the countries of Asia, Latin America and Africa. For example, Mexico, Brasil, UAE, North Korea, China, India, etc.

Description of competitive advantages

1. Interactive training in the mode of industry applications with the preparation of autonomous flight tasks 2. A secure virtual environment for both operator training and the development of algorithms for controlling drones and their groups, including in emergency situations 3. Using software firmware of real autopilots allows you to achieve complete similarity with the behavior of UAVs 4. The possibility of adding UAVs and ground control stations of various types and manufacturers 5. Photorealistic graphics that allow for the training of artificial intelligence systems for UAS 6. Support for UAV group control mode The main difference between the domestic UAVProf Simulator is its focus not on the entertainment component, but on the formation of basic UAV control skills with a wide range of configurable properties, integration of various interfaces used by operators and developers of UAVs, which allows you not to be tied to a specific model of the device and makes it possible to learn how to control different types, including those at the design stage. Work is underway to realize the potential of simulation of swarming drone control technologies.
