Description of competitive advantages

The prospects of this direction are determined by the fact that one of the main goals of the development of a low-carbon economy in the Russian Federation is to reduce the level of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into the atmosphere, in particular, in the aviation industry this is achievable solely by reducing the carbon footprint by partially replacing (10-15%) aviation kerosene with environmentally friendly aviation fuel (SAF). The demand for SAF among domestic airlines will only grow, according to expert estimates, by 2035 the market share in aviation fuel will be up to 10% (1.3 million tons). Also, given that the European Aviation Commission has proposed a mandate to mix SAF with traditional fuels supplied to EU airports, with a gradual increase in the minimum share of SAF from 2% in 2025 to 63%, the use of domestically produced SAF will eliminate risks for the aviation industry of the Russian Federation in terms of restrictions on biofuels and dependence on foreign exporters.
