BRICS Solution Awards

Create a common auxiliary language (ComAL) for communication for the BRICS countries and make it the core of machine translation

Problem and implemented solution

Scientists and businessmen use English when communicating with their foreign colleagues. But the common people of the East and South (especially Russians, Chinese, Iranians, Latin Americans) know it poorly. To enhance the interaction of these peoples (primarily ordinary people), it is convenient to use an easy-to-learn and use artificial language like Esperanto - with simple and complete grammatical and word-formation paradigms without exception. Since Esperanto was created for Europe, its vocabulary and mechanisms are based on Indo-European (primarily Romance, Slavic and Germanic) and Finno-Ugric languages. But the BRICS countries require a model language based on the vocabulary of the state and intertribal languages of the majority of its population, belonging to the Indo-European, Sino-Tibetan, Semitic, Bantu and South Amerindian language families. To this end, I propose developing an intermediary language based on the systematic unification of fragments of vocabulary, phonetics and grammar of these languages.
