Energy Storage System Based Power Grid Arbitrator (ESGA)
Traditional distribution grids were "passive," channeling power one-way from substations to loads. Increasing distributed generation and energy storage have turned these loads into "prosumers," impacting grid operations. Key challenges include reduced system inertia, fast dynamics, harmonic distortions, voltage stability, synchronization, protection challenges, and reduced stability margins. To address these, the energy storage-based power grid arbitrator (ESGA) was developed. ESGA optimizes energy flow, ensures stability, and manages prosumer power within the grid, forming part of an advanced anti-failure automation system to maintain grid stability and performance
New Industry And Energy
“Smart networks” and distributed smart grids
6-8 months - duration of production, 1 month - duration of implementation of the equipment on site
The ESGA offers several competitive advantages over traditional grid management systems, including real-time optimization of energy flow and grid performance, enhanced stability through power flow management and voltage referencing, and improved power quality by filtering and compensating for harmonics. It increases resilience with anti-failure automation, allows scalability and flexibility due to its modular design. The ESGA reduces energy losses via real-time optimization, supports predictive maintenance with advanced data analytics, ensures compliance with grid codes, and provides significant cost savings for grid operators and consumers
