Problem and implemented solution

The aim of the project is to develop design documentation for a completely technologically new drilling mud cleaning device, taking into account the features and characteristic features of the behavior of drilling mud when cleaning it from drilled sludge. The device is designed for cleaning drilling mud from drilled rock during drilling of oil and gas wells. The product is used as part of the circulation systems of drilling rigs. Scope of application: drilling of production, exploration, directional, multi-hole and horizontal wells. Potential consumers are companies engaged in drilling oil and gas wells. The development of the device is aimed at implementing an import substitution program.

Description of competitive advantages

The use of this device for cleaning drilling mud will reduce pollution, reduce the consumption of drilling mud, reduce downtime, improve drilling efficiency, reduce filter costs, reduce noise and vibration, and reduce the operational load on supporting structures. This device does not require significant system maintenance for efficient and safe preparation of drilling mud coming from the well. The equipment includes a fully integrated and closed system for the removal of solid particles and the preparation of drilling mud. The design of the device provides for internal fully closed ventilation, which contributes to the complete removal of suspensions and fumes. The high quality of drilling mud cleaning from sludge helps to reduce pollution and increase the environmental friendliness of using this device. Currently, vibrating sieves are mainly used in the first stage of cleaning drilling mud from drilled rock. This type of equipment has been known for a long time, and the trend of its modernization has almost reached a level where any changes do not properly contribute to the degree of drilling mud purification and energy efficiency. In modern realities, this technology can already be called an outdated method of cleaning drilling mud, since changes in the power and parameters of vibration motors in combination with the structure of the screening grid no longer give a proper increase in the efficiency of their operation. Also, due to the constantly deteriorating conditions of drilling wells, companies engaged in drilling wells are facing more and more new requirements for both technology and energy consumption per 1 meter of drilled well. These requirements include reduction of energy costs, purchase of components and spare parts, reduction of drilling mud losses during drilling and reduction of explosive emissions when drilling wells using hydrocarbon-based drilling mud. In this regard, drilling companies are trying to increase the degree of optimization of the technological process of drilling wells in order to reduce costs from an economic point of view so as not to lower the bar of competitiveness.
