We are considering Brazil in our international strategy. Brazil is in the 4th position in cosmetic market and 3nd position in cosmetic innovation around the World according to Euromonitor. The Brazilian cosmetics market in 2014 was the largest in the world with sales volume equivalent to 239 billion reais. The opportunity to scale this business through Brazil is viable because per capita consumption of cosmetics in Brazil is still low, but according to the forecast by Euromonitor International for 2023, the projection is for an increase of 20.6% in cosmetic sales.
Our cosmetics solution has advantages over competitors because it uses a vegetable raw material that is considered a residue of the cocoa agroindustry, but it is rich in bioactive antioxidant properties, has low cost, and high quantity due to the growth of cocoa production in Brazil and other countries. Cacaus Biocosmetics is the first Startup around the world to transform cacao residues into sustainable biocosmetics. We are going to be the first Startup to do the same with cupuaçu residues. We use chemical process and biotechnology to transform Cacao & Cupuaçu agroindustrial residues into biocosmetics. We use green chemistry and nanotechnology to factory waterless biocosmetics.
