Adaptation of developed technologies based on ultra-dispersed diamonds in galvanics, cosmetics and medicine in the BRICS countries

Problem and implemented solution

Successful experience of using metal-diamond composite coatings for 15 years has shown their undeniable advantages compared to traditionally used coatings. As a result of the work carried out, we currently have our own documentation on the technological process of applying galvanic nanodiamond chromium coatings (technological maps, regulations), dependencies of the characteristics of the resulting coatings on the parameters of the technological process and scientific and technical groundwork for further improving the quality of coatings. By now, our company has acquired extensive experience in the domestic and foreign markets and is constantly expanding the list of technologies offered and the geography of our regular partners. Conducted marketing research allowed us to identify the volume of the Russian coatings market today at more than 110 billion rubles per year. Work is underway to create new technologies for protective coatings based on nanodiamonds, including: - galvanic nanodiamond nickel plating; - chemical nanodiamond nickel plating; Nanodiamond chrome coating is a replacement for standard chrome coating and can be successfully applied to all products that were used with standard chrome coatings, increasing the quality and service life of the products. The main activities carried out under the project and the results achieved. - Coverings completed for more than 10 million US dollars. More than a hundred parts of different types and sizes are covered, from simple stamps to titanium blades for aircraft engines. More than 70 organizations have tested our coatings on their parts. - Tests were conducted in leading scientific centers of Russia - Marketing research conducted (Abercade company) - According to the patent for invention No. 2276171 “Composition for heat-resistant anti-corrosion coating” with the priority date of May 23, 2005. The patent is valid until May 23, 2025. Patenting was carried out abroad in 9 countries with the participation and financing of the State Unitary Enterprise “FAPRID”. - Patent research has been conducted. The object of the research is "Method and electrolyte for producing composite metal-diamond coatings" - has patent purity in relation to Russia, the USA, Germany, France, Japan, and China. The development of the latest delivery systems for biologically active substances on nanodiamonds is being carried out by specialists from NNGC LLC; they have created a unique technology for delivering drugs to the required cells in the human body. To date, more than 17 biologically active substances have been tested to create delivery systems with nanodiamonds. In addition to the most popular additives (hyaluronic acid, collagen, antioxidants), cosmetic products can include Botox and sildenafil (the active ingredient in potency-enhancing products).

Description of competitive advantages

Properties of metal-diamond galvanic coating: • Increased wear resistance by 10-12 times compared to standard parts; • Increase in corrosion resistance by 9 times compared to standard parts; • Increased adhesion to the base metal surface by 50–80%; (conventional chromium plating – 0.9 N/cm2, nanodiamond chromium plating – 1.62 N/cm2); • Reduction of the dry friction coefficient by 3-5 times (compared to standard chromium plating) (standard chromium plating - 0.16, nanodiamond chromium plating - 0.04); • Cracks (regular chrome - min. 2 cracks per 1 sq. dm., nanodiamond - no cracks); • Coating hardness (regular chrome – 800-1100 HV, nanodiamond chrome 1000-1200 HV at the same current density; • Coating thickness: 5 - 2000 microns depending on the application area (more than 50 is usually not required), which saves electricity, consumables and other components. Advantages in medicine and cosmetics: Due to their nanometer size, nanodiamond crystallites have a colossal specific surface area. Nanodiamonds have a unique sorption capacity and can be successfully used not only in technology and production, but also as an effective tool in medicine and cosmetics. The surface of the crystals always contains functional groups, which leads to ultra-high activity of nanodiamond particles. Unlike liposomes, nanodiamonds are stable and easily penetrate into cells, delivering the desired substance. Such “systems” have a synergistic effect – the activity of the delivered substance is enhanced by the intrinsic activity of the surface of the nanodiamond particles. Nanodiamonds are non-toxic and biocompatible with the body, which is especially important for cosmetics and medicines. The presence of these properties makes nanodiamonds promising carriers for the creation of delivery systems for biologically active and medicinal substances, luminescent markers. 1.
