Plintron developed a new IoT Connectivity Management Platform (I-CMP) based on customer feedback The problems faced by customers were I)Customers needed a single dashboard to view deployments & manage their IoT inventory including activations, suspension & ability to fire APIs from existing applications Solution needed to be compatible with GSMA & regulatory requirements & be agnostic to SIM form-factors or type of network. II)Customers did not have control or flexibility in developing multiple commercial models or the ability to create their own commercial bundles III)Plintron Customer organisation wanted Multi-layer Organisation (Admin, Enterprise, & Business Partner) Access IV)Many were interested in reselling IoT connectivity services using a white-labeled MVNO model Plintron developed the I-CMP with the following objectives a) Single-interface dashboard for deployment & IoT SIM management & firing APIs directly from existing applications b) GSMA/Regulatory compliances c) White-labelled branding for MVNOs d) Support multi-layer organisation e) Support all networks & SIM form-factors The developed I-CMP is a Single Interface pane of glass dashboard to manage MVNO & other customers’ IoT SIM connectivity Management ranging from Lifecycle management to Billing and provisioning. Companies could provision/activate or deactivate and manage the entire SIM lifecycle, billing, and provision remotely with a single dashboard saving huge effort and manpower. Being an integrated platform, this comes pre-built and is not a standalone portal; it is integrated with local connectivity profiles after integration with MNOs. Further having its own OSS, NSS, BSS, OCS, API, and gateways enables Plintron to customize Plans which other connectivity platforms may not be able to do. Thus, it enables any IoT company to become an MVNO and offer a more segmented approach. For example, an Automotive MVNO requires a low data plan with SMS however a CCTV company looking to capture Videos will need higher data plans. This is a simple, smart & secure solution with ease of operation that aids customers in their faster adoption and controls operating costs, improves customer experience, and generates new revenue streams for various industry domains. I-CMP supports different business models – with the ability to integrate with small, medium, and large IoT value chain partners & component suppliers The I-CMP allows role-based access management – Admin, Business Partner, and Enterprise. The latter can handle multiple SIM form factors. Fully automated SIM Lifecycle management is also supported. Further, Plintron eSIM with dual-applet switching is an innovative solution for Profile switching between operators – this allows secondary profile use in case of critical applications and low Coverage areas. This Innovative use of applet-based Dual-profile switching enables catering to Dual-profile requirements without using a Remote Service Provisioning platform

The I-CMP project took 12 months and was implemented in India in 2023 and is being expanded to LATAM, Europe, and North America. The platform can be offered to customers with a low onboarding and integration time of about 6 weeks.
