Our molecule is more polar than chitosan and therefore does not need acids to form aqueous solution, thus its forms hydrogel when it comes in contact with water from blood. The platelets have negative charge on their surface, the electrostatic interaction between the platelets and Chloro-Chitosan orients the platelets thus hastening the natural cascading of clotting to commence.
