Tongo-test

The Tongo-test enables migraine patients to receive effective specific therapy quickly and reliably. The form factor test resembles the rapid COVID-19 test but detects levels of CGRP, a pain marker protein. Migraine is the most common neurological disease and has a significant economic burden due to the disability of such individuals for the duration of attacks. Our development will allow us to systematise migraine (currently diagnosed clinically, i.e. based entirely on the expertise of the physician) and reliably identify CGRP-positive patients for whom specific treatments are created.

SWITCH UAV - Indigenously developed fixed-wing VTOL UAV designed for a wide range of security and surveillance applications for Indian Armed Forces.

The Indian armed forces wanted to deploy advanced and autonomous surveillance solutions for their challenging surveillance missions on borders. The forces wanted to detect threats and identify risk-prone areas from remote locations for border surveillance, anti-terror operations, as well as conduct reconnaissance missions and track illegal activities without putting the lives of soldiers at risk. These missions are always carried out on high altitude range, on extreme terrains and in harsh weather. There is often risk of soldiers’ lives, aborting missions due to unforeseen circumstances and limitation/lack of resources. ideaForge has responded to the ask, and developed all terrain dominator drone, SWITCH. Designed and developed by ideaForge, SWITCH UAV is India's first-ever fixed-wing VTOL UAV. It is packed with software and hardware innovations to deliver a robust military-grade UAV. Since a runway is not required, it has excellent agility and can travel across a range of terrains smoothly. SWITCH features advanced flight time, higher safety, and simple operation with additional fail-safe redundancies. It has been tested and certified to meet the internationally renowned JSS 55555 and Mil Standard 461E for EMI EMC military quality standards. With three repeat orders from the Indian Army, including the largest mini-VTOL UAV contract in the world, in 2023 SWITCH UAV has won the national technology award by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Inspired by birds, the way they glide and fly high up in the air, ideaForge crafted a rugged structure that can withstand extreme terrains and harsh weather. Usually, fixed-wing drones require a runway, and this raises challenges for operations lacking a runway in space-constrained regions. Departing from the limitations of fixed-wing drones, the team sought to craft runway-independent hybrids, combining the endurance of fixed wings with the agility of quadcopters. This innovation allows for remarkable endurance and operational flexibility, even in space-constrained environments.

Educational program and competency profile "Distributed Energy Systems and Optimization Modeling Engineer"

The rapid growth of the BRICS economies necessitates the prompt and project implementation to define a strategy for the distributed energy systems development. This involves selecting the optimal strategy to upgrade energy assets and energy consumption control, considering the technical and economic conditions of specific regions. Successful implementation of this kind of project requires qualified specialists with expertise in both energy and IT. The specified task encounters the following problems: 1. Shortage in engineers. There is a shortage of professionals who can develop optimal strategies for distributed energy systems. This role requires a combination of energy systems knowledge and programming skills to solve optimization modeling problems and execute all phases of the project. 2. No structured knowledge profile No widely known universal competency profile containing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to educate a specialist who can find the optimal strategy of distributed energy systems development. 3. Insufficient updating of educational programs Educational institutions offer only part of the knowledge and skills required to address the mentioned tasks. Furthermore, it is uncommon for energy specialists to gain IT-related expertise, and for IT professionals to develop energy sector skills. 4. Companies are facing rising costs related to building and maintaining their talent pool. Due to gaps in education, tech companies frequently have to provide extra training for new hires. Solution: Educational standard for distributed energy and optimization modeling specialists who can find energy system’s development strategy using IT technologies. The standard will be based on the existing competency profile "Distributed Energy Systems and Optimization Modeling Engineer". The competency profile should include: 1. Adaptation to local conditions Adapt the profile for each BRICS country considering the specificities of national energy systems, equipment, and electricity markets. Material will be conducted in local languages 2. Seamless integration between energy and IT specialists: It is proposed to create educational trajectories that allow specialists in energy and IT fields to transition to opposite areas, taking into account the business needs of partner companies. 3. Practical orientation The trajectory will involve modeling real commercial projects implemented in Russia and the EU. This will provide students with a better understanding of business processes and accelerate their adaptation in the workplace. 4. Modularity A flexible structure of educational material will allow for the creation of individualized educational trajectories that meet the needs of both companies and students.
