Over the past decade, the Anselm team has been developing such an automated tool and implementing it in the Russian oil and gas industry. Determining the energy efficiency and CO2 reduction potential of energy-intensive industries has never been simpler and more accurate. ANSELM Software Ecosystem employs innovative systematic scientific methodology for profitable decarbonization of heat-intensive industries. Using BIG DATA and AI tools, we automatically, quickly, and accurately identify the potential for energy efficiency and CO2 reduction in the oil industry and propose cost-effective technical measures to minimize environmental impact. Today, our industrial software helps refineries identify potential in real time, without requiring human resources, and our technical team has developed dozens of detailed designs that prove the accuracy of ANSELM estimates, resulting in stunning improvements in refinery energy efficiency and generating millions of dollars in additional profits for owners. Akin to Carl Linnaeus, who classified the flora and fauna of our planet, or Dmitry Mendeleev, who described the fundamental relationships between chemical elements, our international team of scientists created ANSELM − a unique system of indicators and algorithms to identify and prioritize all ways to improve the energy efficiency and reduce emissions of any facility operating with heat exchange cycles − with highest economic viability. With over 120 years of combined industrial experience and scientific research in energy efficiency optimization in the context of refining, our team is confident that no other approach used worldwide will match the output of ANSELM. This is a breakthrough in increasing energy efficiency on a global scale. ANSELM calculates the energy efficiency potential of the entire facility, addressing the key questions:By how much (%) could the efficiency of each process unit be improved? If improving the efficiency requires investment, would such projects be economically viable? Are there any other units, where similar investment could yield a larger economic effect? Lack of such key information leads to mistakes in strategic planning which cost many millions of dollars in long term. ANSELM answers the main questions top management and shareholders have: where to invest, how much, and what the economic effect will be

Development of technology for obtaining functional materials for medical purposes based on bacterial cellulose

Research in the field of bacterial polymer biosynthesis opens up new possibilities for creating bacterial strains and optimizing biopolymer production processes for industry and medicine. These materials, biocompatible and non-toxic, have wide application in medical devices, such as tissue engineering scaffolds and drug delivery systems. Bacterial cellulose (BC) is of particular interest due to its unique properties, including high porosity and water-holding capacity, which makes it suitable for use in wound dressings and other medical purposes. In this regard, we have developed a technological process, the implementation of which allows us to obtain microgels, pastes, plates based on bacterial cellulose, alginate, chitosan, etc., capable of delivering drugs to the desired point in the body, as well as preserving and releasing drugs at a certain rate. The gel structures obtained during the study were based on bacterial cellulose and other biocompatible polysaccharides with immobilized probiotic bacteria L. plantarum and bacteriocins isolated from the culture liquid. Their antimicrobial activity, high sorption capacity and resistance to adverse factors were proven. It was shown that the obtained structures at acidic pH values (simulating stomach conditions) retained their integrity, and at pH values above 6.0 (simulating intestinal conditions) they completely or partially disintegrated.

Problems from fatal addiction diseases (drug addiction, alcoholism and smoking): - the biggest cause of premature deaths; - more than 70% of suicides, 80% of murders, 68% of deaths from cirrhosis of the liver; - huge losses to the state budget; - 30% of crimes are committed while intoxicated; - tens of thousands of drunk, fatal accidents; - problems and losses of employers; - destroyed families and destinies; - teenagers who use drugs, their army is growing every year; - a sharp increase in AIDS and hepatitis C; - thousands of disabled children due to alcoholism, drug addiction and smoking; - hundreds of thousands of children left without parental care. Problems from socially acceptable addictions (gambling addiction, shopaholism, addiction to gadgets and the Internet, food addiction, procrastination, sects and others): - most of the problems are the same as with fatal addictions; - destruction of the spiritual and moral aspects of humanity; - increase in psychological and mental illnesses, stress; - the health of the nation is declining; - the burden on the healthcare system, the social sphere and the economy is increasing. Unfortunately, medicine is not yet able to cope with this problem; it needs help. The non-profit sector will be able to make a significant contribution using new methods and approaches, reducing the cost of assistance services. The proposed solution consists of creating Unified Centers for working with all types of addictions, aimed at prevention and the problems that they bring to addictions. The basis of the work will be the programs of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Correct Choice", most of which were developed jointly with the Republican Clinical Narcological Dispensary of the Republic of Khakassia. The projects have been tested, proven their effectiveness and have been recognized in various competitions, are recipients of various grants, including the President of the Russian Federation, participants in various forums, including the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023 and 2024. All our programs and projects will be united in one place, where various subjects of prevention and treatment of addictions will join, reducing their burden with effective solutions.

AI-powered digital solution for proactive management of cardiovascular patients in Tula region, Russia

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) remain the leading cause of mortality in Russia, with the Tula region specifically reporting 648 deaths per 100,000 individuals due to these conditions. Within a population of approximately 1.24 million, around 425,000 residents are affected by cardiovascular diseases. Notably, 316,000 individuals suffer from arterial hypertension, yet only 42.9% of men and 53.7% of women undergoing antihypertensive therapy achieve their target blood pressure levels. Furthermore, 77,000 individuals are diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD), but a mere 20.7% of these patients reach their target LDL cholesterol levels. To address these challenges, a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) has been developed, which creates a digital twin of each patient utilizing data from electronic medical records (EMR). This innovative system automatically assesses cardiovascular risk, monitors the achievement of health targets, and suggests drug therapy according to clinical guidelines. The CDSS employs advanced algorithms to analyze patient data, providing healthcare professionals with actionable insights to enhance patient management. By identifying patients at high risk and tracking their progress towards health goals, the system facilitates proactive interventions and personalized treatment plans. This approach not only aims to improve clinical outcomes but also strives to optimize the overall efficiency of healthcare delivery in the Tula region.

Problem: Despite sufficient global food production, inefficiencies in food consumption and waste management lead to significant food waste in restaurant chains. This not only contributes to environmental issues, such as methane emissions, but also exacerbates global hunger and resource scarcity. With 1.3 billion tons of food wasted annually, it is imperative to develop a system that can address these challenges by reducing surplus and waste in real-time. Implemented Solution: To tackle this issue, I developed an AI-based predictive algorithm as part of the Mercedes-Benz beVisioneers Fellowship. The algorithm, trained on extensive data, predicts with 85% accuracy whether food is likely to go to waste in restaurant chains. It leverages real-time feedback loops to continually improve its predictions, helping restaurants optimize their food production and consumption. This solution has the potential to reduce food waste by 25-30%, minimize environmental impact by lowering methane emissions, and contribute to sustainable resource management. It aligns with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting efficient food utilization and addressing global hunger indirectly by potentially redistributing surplus food to those in need.
